About us
Banu Musa is a company being established in Iraq. We build software and systems for companies and institutions, and supply the hardware they run on.
We start by understanding how you work, before writing a single line of code. Then we design, build, install and stay with you after launch.
We put the agreement in writing: what we build, when we deliver, and what it costs.

Our work
Our first projects are in progress. We will show them here when they are complete.
Why Banu Musa?
Banu Musa were three brothers, Muhammad, Ahmad and al-Hasan, sons of Musa ibn Shakir, scholars of Baghdad in the ninth century.
They wrote the Book of Ingenious Devices, describing mechanical devices with engineering precision and patience. They did not stop at the idea; they designed, built and tested.
We chose the name in appreciation of that spirit: an idea should be built and should work. We are not related to them and do not claim their standing, but we want to work with a similar care.

Frequently asked questions
Do you provide software only, or software with hardware?
Both. We provide software alone, or software with the hardware and installation, depending on what you need.
How much does a project cost?
It depends on the project. We give you a quote after we understand what you need.
How long does it take?
It depends on the size of the project. We agree the timeline with you before we start.
Do you offer support after handover?
Yes. Before handover we agree with you on the support details and duration, and we stick to what we agree.
Can the software work offline?
It depends on the type of system, and we design it around your internet conditions from the start. Desktop software can run on a single machine or a local network with no internet. Mobile apps can store data and sync when the connection returns. Production and equipment monitoring reads sensors on site; internet is needed only for alerts and remote access. Websites and web apps need a connection. Before we start, we agree with you on what must keep working offline.
Do you work with organisations outside my city?
We take requests from organisations across Iraq and assess each one by its location and needs. Write to us and we will tell you.
Is the company officially registered?
The company is currently being established, and we will publish its official details once registration is complete.
How do I start?
Write to us through the contact form or WhatsApp, describe what you need, and we will reply.
